Homeschooled students

Your future is here.

Now that your home education has ended, it's time to focus on your future. At Lynn, we know the importance of a top-notch education—no matter where you received your diploma. That's why we make it easy for homeschooled students to be part of Lynn University.

Why choose Lynn?

Earn your degree sooner

Fast-track your education with Lynn's flexible accelerated degree program, which allows you to earn your bachelor’s degree in just three years, saving you time and money.

Collaborative style education

Lynn’s core curriculum offers innovative and engaging courses during your college career. Instead of sitting through lectures, you’ll participate and interact with faculty and peers.

Small class sizes

As a homeschooled student, you are used to being the only one in the classroom. At Lynn, we have a 21:1 student/faculty ratio. That means more individualized attention from professors.

Countless ways to get involved

Lynn offers a number of clubs and organizations and on-campus activities to choose from, where you will learn new skills and make new friends.

How to apply

As a homeschooled student, you may be wondering if the college application process is different for you. At Lynn, we want your journey to be as seamless as possible. To apply, fill out the first-year student application and provide us with your standardized test scores.

Is Lynn interested in having homeschoolers apply?

We are always interested in having students with a wide range of academic backgrounds, including homeschooling. Your prior academics help broaden the diversity of campus.

Are there other homeschoolers currently at Lynn?

Absolutely! We have many students at Lynn with a prior background in home education. From the Conservatory of Music to the College of Communication and Design, we have former homeschoolers scattered all across campus. It's time to join them!

Do you require additional documents because I was homeschooled?

No. Just submit your application and send your test scores. We trust home education and do not see the need in additional verification paperwork on your end.

How can I make my application stand out as a homeschooler?

At Lynn, we judge all applications evenly, regardless of academic background. With that being said, we encourage you to boast the rigor of the many courses you took in high school.

Also, take a second to mention any extracurricular activities in which you participated. Make your transcript as detailed as possible for your admissions process!

Is it easy to talk to an admission counselor about my application?

Yes, absolutely. Our admission counselors love to connect individually with students and can be reached in many different ways. We would love to welcome you for a campus visit experience, but if you cannot make it to campus feel free to contact your admission counselor directly.

As a homeschooler, can I compete favorably for academic scholarships?

All applicants are automatically considered for any merit-based scholarships, regardless of academic background. Through the many factors in your application, our financial department will determine your eligibility for the countless scholarships available to incoming students.
