Earn university credits while you’re in high school
Introduce yourself to the rigor of college coursework before you leave the comfort and support of home. Lynn University offers you the opportunity to become accustomed to the academic environment in college, gain college credits while getting a head start on your college career.
There are numerous benefits in taking dual enrollment programs including recent studies of over 200,000 high school students that have shown that students who participate in dual enrollment are more likely to earn a college degree.
International students
We require demonstration of proficiency in English for most international applicants. Submit official English test scores with your application unless you’re from Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Commonwealth Caribbean, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, South Africa or the United Kingdom. We accept the following:
- TOEFL internet-based score of 71+
- IELTS score of 6.0+
- Duolingo score of 100+ (tests taken before July 1 – minimum score of 51)
- PTE score of 50+
We only can accept scores received directly from the testing organization. We review on an individual basis any case where an applicant’s score is below our recommended testing levels.
After admission
Upon completing your application, admission decisions are provided within 10 business days.
Once admitted you are able to choose your classes. Students are able to register for up to seven credits (approximately two courses) that are either 100 or 200 level courses (first or second year college classes). Visit Lynn's course search page to see what is available. After selecting the courses you would like to take, contact Ruth Benavides to register you. At that time, payment is to be made in full by check or credit card online.
Final steps
Admission into the Lynn dual enrollment program requires a student to have an official Lynn University ID card to gain access to campus facilities. To obtain a student ID, visit the IT Help Desk, located on the 1st floor of the Library, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. Once you’re accepted and pay tuition, an academic advisor will help you choose and register for up to six credit hours per semester (approximately two courses).
