Transfer credit evaluations
Transfer credit is awarded for courses successfully completed at a regionally accredited institution or an institution whose accrediting organization is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Awarding transfer credit
To make your transition to Lynn University as easy and seamless as possible, use the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) to locate course descriptions and equivalences from previous institutions. If your institution isn't listed, contact the transfer office for assistance.
Official transcripts from each institution attended must be submitted to the Office of Admission in order to complete a formal transfer evaluation. Once this process is complete, you'll receive notification of the number of credits that will transfer to Lynn University.
Preliminary evaluations can be performed on unofficial transcripts. A final decision is made once official documents have been received and reviewed. An evaluation by an outside agency is completed for transcripts for international students and transcripts from outside the US.
Transfer credit and GPA
For admission and scholarship purposes only, we calculate a transfer GPA based on all courses taken at previous institutions. Once enrolled, we calculate your GPA based on only those grades you earn at Lynn.
Any course that was successfully completed at another institution may be accepted at Lynn University once a transfer credit evaluation is completed and equivalencies are determined. All undergraduate students must complete a total of 30 credits at Lynn in order to receive a Lynn University degree.

Lynn’s graduate programs accept a maximum of nine transfer credits from another higher education institution. Professional certificates are not considered.

Lynn will accept credits earned for students transferring with an associate degree from an accredited two-year institution, including all Florida public state and community colleges.
Lynn has various partnerships that allow Lynn students to acquire unique skills and earn innovative degrees through taking courses at Lynn and with other organizations. Credit earned through these partnerships are transferred back to Lynn on a program-by-program basis. Learn more.
