Manage investments

Earn an investment degree and help others manage their assets. In the investment management program, you'll study the financial world's ins and outs, including the stock market and real estate market. As an investment management major, you'll gain the knowledge to make that dream come true. An interest in finance, wealth and economics can lead you to a very lucrative future. This program could lead you to a career with a company like Merrill Lynch, HSBC, or Goldman Sachs. Or you might work managing a hedge fund, or work within a family office firm. No matter what path you choose, you'll be introduced to top technologies.

You'll study with experts who have successfully managed large company portfolios at over $500 million, and attend workshops and lectures led by successful professionals in the asset management industry. This program will prepare you for work with large corporations and private entities. You're required to complete the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) course and certification, and the series seven courses and certification as part of two of the major courses.

Start a lucrative career in investment management as soon as you graduate. Explore the many positions you can land in the investment and asset management industry.

Stock broker

Stock brokers are experts in trading. They research the latest investment opportunities and stay on top of the market cycles, bringing on new portfolios and communicating with current clients about potential buys or sells.

Asset manager

Asset managers maintain and grow their client’s investments by handling fixed and financial assets. They assess the costs and profits of property, buy and trade stocks and use data from analysts to make recommendations for improvements.

Investment consultant

Investment consultants help clients build and maintain an investment portfolio. They advise clients on how to spend their capital by conducting research and formulating strategies, but the client is responsible for buying and selling property, stocks and investments.

Wealth manager

Wealth managers create and maintain generational wealth for clients. They use the complex understanding of investment strategy and communication skills to develop an invaluable relationship with clients and provide a holistic approach to wealth.

Stockbroker

Stockbrokers are experts in trading. They either work independently or with a firm to buy and sell shares and securities on behalf of their clients. They also keep track of stock market changes and evaluate financial reports to advise clients on investment opportunities.

Private banker

Private bankers manage the personal portfolios of typically high-wealth individuals who are looking to make their money work for them.They assess the financial circumstances and oppurtunities for clients and provide them with personalized insight.
